This information is not correct you cannot fill your water container until you are on the plane. Also you cannot take snacks on the plane. Please don't generalise as each country has regulations on what you can and cannot take on board the flight.

You do not need to carry that much cash. Ridiculous. Only certain situations you need cash like in certain food halls small restaurants only take cash. Have a digital Suica card on your phone and everyone from taxis to convenient stores take Suica cards. Almost every restaurant takes credit cards too. Have some cash on hand but majority take credit or IC cards. I just got back from Japan. Carry a small hand towel if you want to wash your hands in bathrooms cause some do not have hand dryers.
